Broadband multi-distance lensless imaging

ABSTRACT

Coherent diffractive imaging (CDI) using broadband illumination sources has important applications in time-resolved imaging and ultrafast dynamics studies. Existing broadband imaging approaches typically rely on prior knowledge of the sample, and require a large amount of diffraction data to provide sufficient information redundancy, posting serious limitations for practical applications. Here, we propose a novel broadband imaging technique based on multi-distance schemes. Introducing an improved multi-distance phase retrieval algorithm can reconstruct high-fidelity images using only a few frames of diffraction data at spectral bandwidth up to 12.5%.
